There are nine other games this weekend, with four teams on a bye this week. The teams on a bye are the Texans (2-5), Saints (2-5), Giants (4-2-1) and the 49ers (6-1).
Let’s take a quick look at these games, starting with the five games in the early window.
Tennessee Titans (1-6) @ Cincinnati Bengals (4-2) – This is a must-win game for the Bengals, seeing as one of their rivals, either the Browns or the Steelers, will be 6-2, barring a tie and they will not want to lose any more ground. Bengals win by seven points.
Arizona Cardinals (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (3-4) – A big game for the Cowboys, with the Giants on a bye, they can close the gap on the leaders of the East and open a bigger gap over the flagging Eagles. Cowboys win by three points.
Indianapolis Colts (2-5) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) – The Jags sit atop of the AFC South, as the only team with a winning record. It would appear to be a good time to play the Colts as well, as they seem to be in full rebuild mode, looking to trade their star assets. Jaguars win by 10 points.
Las Vegas Raiders (3-4) @ New York Jets (2-5) – The Jets are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Dolphins, who the Raiders beat in week one. However, the Raiders are on a four-game losing streak, after winning their first three games. The Raiders get back to winning ways by five points.
Atlanta Falcons (3-4) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-5) – The Bucs have struggled this season, but a win today will give them the same record as their opponents. Baker Mayfield played in their win over the Panthers and will play this weekend. Buccaneers win by five points.
Los Angeles Chargers (0-6) @ Los Angeles Rams (3-4) – The battle of SoFi Stadium sees the only winless team left take on a Rams team who have had their struggles this season. The Rams desperately need a win to keep any hopes of meaningful football in January alive. Rams win by seven points.
New England Patriots (4-3) @ Miami Dolphins (1-5) – The Dolphins won their first game of the season last week, after beating the Jets. However, it will be back to losing ways against a Patriots side who have already beaten the Bills and the Steelers. Patriots win by seven points.
Kansas City Chiefs (5-1) @ Denver Broncos (5-2) – This all-AFC West matchup is an important one for both teams, to see who sits on the top of the division. The Chiefs lost their unbeaten record last week to the Seahawks, with the Broncos on a three game winning streak, beating the Seahawks in that stretch. Broncos win by three points.
Philadelphia Eagles (2-5) @ Washington Commanders (1-4-1) – Sunday Night Football sees an all NFC East clash, with two sides that no one thought would be in this position. The Eagles’ playoff hopes hang by a thread, and a defeat will put more pressure on Nick Sirianni. Both sides have had their injury issues as well all season. Eagles win by three points.
