The storyline featuring Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss has to run its course eventually, but how their partnership should end has been up for discussion for weeks.
Both women are fantastic heels. Either could turn on the other and, if booked correctly, go on a memorable run.
So, why would I have Alexa turn heel rather than Charlotte? Well, it was Alexa who pursued the alliance, which would make her betrayal more personal. For me, the motivation would be simple: frustration at their repeated losses boils over until she no longer wants to stand by her partner.
How I would book an Alexa Bliss heel turn
As a team, they have lost a number of matches recently. Tatum Paxley could fuel the tension by costing them more. Charlotte grows frustrated with Tatum, but Alexa defends her, leaving Charlotte questioning their friendship. As Alexa and Tatum become closer, Charlotte starts to look like the odd one out.
Charlotte’s jealousy comes to the surface when she costs her team a match at Survivor Series. An argument breaks out afterwards between her and Alexa, with Tatum trying to keep the peace.
Things stay rocky heading into the Royal Rumble. With ten competitors remaining, including all three women, Tatum and Alexa team up to eliminate Charlotte. While they both laugh at her, Alexa throws Tatum out too, completing her heel turn. She goes on to win the match.
In this version of the story, Charlotte wins a world title inside the Elimination Chamber, setting up Alexa’s challenge at WrestleMania. They spend the build-up costing each other matches, with the feud potentially continuing beyond Mania.
That would give their WrestleMania match a rivalry built on months of resentment and betrayal.
What happens to Tatum Paxley?
After the Royal Rumble, Tatum tries and fails to repair the friendship before telling Alexa she’s on her own. She then moves on to compete for either the U.S. or Intercontinental title.
Alexa Bliss vs Charlotte Flair: who wins at WrestleMania?
I’d have Alexa beat Charlotte to end her world-title drought, putting Little Miss Bliss back on top of the women’s division.
