NFL Week 6: Late Window and Sunday Night Football Preview

Only the three games in the late window, and a Sunday Night Football clash between the Cowboys and the Packers at Lambeau Field. But we start this preview with the best game of the late window as the Bills take on the Raiders.

Buffalo Bills (4-1) @ Las Vegas Raiders (3-2)

This all-AFC clash is a must-win for the Raiders, more so than the Bills, as the Raiders are currently on a two-game losing streak, after winning the first three.

The Bills’ only loss came at the hands of their AFC East rivals, the New England Patriots in Week four. It’s a short Week for the Bills, as they played the Rams in SoFi Stadium on Monday night, winning in overtime. QB Josh Allen has completed 91 of 138 passes for 1,249 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions, as well as 43 carries for 239 yards and eight touchdowns! His RB James Cook has 95 carries for 532 yards and five touchdowns whilst WR Keon Coleman has 15 receptions for 224 yards and two touchdowns.

The Raiders were thrashed by the Patriots last week, losing 45-17. This game is the third of four massive games for the Raiders. Starting 3-0 against teams who all have losing records, they have struggled in the next two games. QB Kirk Cousins has been fairly good this season. He has completed 112 of 172 passes for 1,269 yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. RB Ashton Jeanty has 88 carries for 291 yards, as well as 22 receptions for 215 yards and two touchdowns. TE Brock Bowers has 24 receptions for 312 yards and three touchdowns.

Prediction – The Bills win this one, by at least 10 points. It could also prompt calls for a change at QB with the first overall pick Fernando Mendoza replacing Cousins.

Dallas Cowboys (2-3) @ Green Bay Packers (3-2)

This all-NFC clash pits two sides that think they should be vying for the NFC Championship, if not the Super Bowl itself.

The Cowboys gave the Buccaneers their first win of the season last week, losing 24-16. QB Dak Prescott has completed 129 of 192 passes for 1,381 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions. WR CeeDee Lamb has 39 receptions for 507 yards and four touchdowns, whilst in the run game, RB Javonte Williams has 74 carries for 276 yards and six touchdowns, as well as 17 receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown. TE Jake Ferguson has 15 receptions for only 102 yards, but three touchdowns.

The Packers have won the last two games against the Buccaneers and the Bears. QB Jordan Love has completed 112 of 185 passes for 1,408 yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. WR Christian Watson has 26 receptions for 474 yards and six touchdowns, whilst his receiving teammate Matthew Golden has 24 receptions for 397 yards and two touchdowns. RB MarShawn Lloyd has 40 carries for 112 yards and two touchdowns. TE Tucker Kraft has 20 receptions for 212 yards and a touchdown.

Prediction – This is a really tough game to call. The Packers will want to keep their winning run going, but the Cowboys need a win to avoid falling further behind. I think it will be a close one, with the Packers winning by a field goal.

Best of the Rest:

The Arizona Cardinals (1-4) travel to the SoFi Stadium to take on the Los Angeles Rams (2-3). The Cardinals are on a four-game losing streak, whilst the Rams head into a five-game stretch where they would expect to win all five. The Rams win by 10 points.

Elsewhere in the late window, the Los Angeles Chargers (0-5) travel to Arrowhead to take on the Kansas City Chiefs (4-0). The Chargers are still looking for that first win, whilst the Chiefs are rested after their bye week. The Chiefs win this one easily, by 15 points.
